Fantasy Light

The light in Fantasy Art is generally the best part. It's often the most though out part, artistically. Much of the time there is so much more color in the highlights and shadows than you find in more conventional art. That makes for a much more interesting composition.

Women's Clothes

Women's clothes in Fantasy Art are probably the dumbest part. Fantasy Art is so different and has so much potential to really express, and seems stuck in a 15 year-old male mentality. No one would go into the field wearing an outfit that seems to have as it's main goal erotic interest.

Just think of it. Our Heroine, who is surrounded by males by the way - and supposedly not interested in her body, wearing just enough armor not to get things rated as pornography. The most common reaction would be to see how long it takes to cut the strategic stings (with sword, dagger or both) while everyone stands around to join in on the succeeding gang rape.

Of course, since all the enemy would be just standing around watching all the fun they would be much easier to take out.

Perhaps this is the real reason the women get dressed up like this. Women are always laying down their lives for their men. Sometimes I wonder why.
